ANYTIME Fitness UK has reached the milestone of 200,000 members and a record one million club visits per month in the first quarter of 2024.
The brand’s expanding network of clubs and members contributed to an 8.3 per cent increase in revenue in Q1 compared to the same period in 2023; this was also supported by a four per cent increase in average member yield.
“2024 has been our strongest start to the year for some time, with key metrics from both the consumer and franchising sides of the business showing real growth,” said Andy Thompson, chairman of Anytime Fitness UK.
“We’ve been working hard to get an even stronger understanding of our members and how we engage them, investing in our tech infrastructure and systems, as well as making sure we’ve got the right people in place to support the business moving forwards – these are all critical factors that have contributed to a stronger performance across the network.
“Our sector isn’t without its challenges, but we’re receiving positive levels of interest in franchising and the projected growth makes for an exciting year ahead.”
Anytime Fitness has 185 clubs in operation and is on target to sell 25 new franchise licences in 2024.
The brand’s franchise development efforts have been strengthened by several new initiatives, including investment into enhancing its data-driven approach to the identification of new ‘hot’ locations for potential clubs.
The growth is also aligned to the roll-out of the brand’s new club design, which has seen a full refresh of the interior specification and layout.
