Lampton Leisure appoint dedicated health and wellbeing manager

LAMPTON Leisure has appointed Paula Vincent into the newly created role of health and wellbeing manager.

Paula’s appointment is part of long-term plan to support community health in the London Borough of Hounslow, working with the Healthy Hounslow Alliance to provide health and wellbeing support to residents as Lampton Leisure’s community health hub vision becomes a reality.

Paula has worked in the fitness and leisure industry for 18 years in roles including head of fitness at Stevenage Leisure and InspireALL and management roles at The Gym Group and Pure Gym.

She said: “This is a really exciting time to join Lampton Leisure. I am excited to be part of the organisation’s ambitions plans and to work in an area I’m really passionate about and can’t wait to make even more headway in 2024.”

Since joining Lampton Leisure, Paula has been networking with many organisations and charities.

She has discovered many different charities and organisations offering fantastic programmes to the community such as mental health football session, talking therapy sessions, weight management sessions but struggling to find venues to host.

In response to this she has already created a Health Action Day to bring them together under one roof at Brentford Fountain Leisure Centre, making it easy for residents to discover the incredible array of services available on their doorstep.

The day saw organisations including Dementia Friends, Right at Home, Oral Health, Little Parks Surgery, The Movement Project, Cancer Support Services and others come together, alongside activities for children, table tennis, cycling challenges, football juggling, health checks and more.
