At ServiceSport UK, our field service engineers provide a pivotal role in the company’s day-to-day operations. No day is the same in the life of a field service engineer. There are many tasks that the majority of our engineers will have to complete as part of their day-to-day work.

We have multiple engineers based across the UK that provide an efficient service to all customers within their assigned area. 

Our CONDO-trained engineers are security cleared and are always ready to be deployed overseas to conduct servicing and maintenance work. This has included recent trips to Cyprus and Estonia in order to complete work for the Ministry of Defence and support service personnel overseas.

The ability to diagnose and repair different makes and models of equipment, while proactively covering technical and customer issues is one of the most important aspects of working as a field service engineer. 

The role requires excellent communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Our engineers must be able to establish and maintain proper business relationships with customers and peers as well as perform necessary administrative duties on our online management system.

Our online management system is an integral part of the day-to-day operations of a field service engineer. Each engineer carries a computer tablet giving them access to all the latest diagnostics, equipment updates, and schematic diagrams. 

All work carried out is inputted into their tablet and cross-referenced to each machine so a clear history of work can be drawn up on every single piece of equipment our engineers work on. 

Our engineers are linked to the technical department at our Head Office for further support should they need it. They also have full access to their schedule and van stock for upcoming jobs. 

Keeping a well-stocked van is essential for minimum equipment downtime. It also ensures that our engineers can get to you as soon as possible and fix equipment during their first visit.
